After a major refurbishment by owner Star Pubs, the Red Lion has been reinvented as the Lion sports bar; numerous screens show Sky Sports in the main bar, with a huge TV on the wall of the rear bar. There is a pool table and dart board in the rear bar, and there's now a courtyard to the rear with tables and chairs. Already established with locals, it can be very popular for any sporting event, from football to rugby to darts.
