Situated on the edge of the New Forest Country Park, and a pleasant three mile drive from Christchurch & Burley. The Three Tuns is an award-winning traditional 17th-century thatched inn with huge acclaim for its excellent AA and Egon Ronay recognised food & drink. There is a large bar area leading to the dining room and also a separate snug bar with comfortable seating. The Three Tuns boasts creative menus based around the very best fresh local produce, offering daily specials and a very warm welcome from its friendly and helpful staff. A large terrace and superb gardens are surrounded by views over the open country. The traditional barn and a marquee are available to hire, either separately or together. Occasionally there is live acoustic music and a New Forest Pétanque League team is based here.

The pub became free of tie in October 2018 and allowing the guest beer range to be expanded and fully utilise the ten handpumps. In summer Otter Bright may replace Otter Amber and one of the changing beers may be replaced by a cider sourced from the nearby Harrow Farm.

The pub holds an annual beer festival the last weekend of September.

Grade II listed. Historic England list UID: 1350887. Listing says 18th century, altered 20th century after a fire, though the pub owners say it's 17th century.
