The New Inn is a well used village local, a contributory factor being, no doubt, the fact that it has been owned by the Hunter family for 100 years (in 2015). It is situated at the edge of the village (at the Longden end), and is now the only pub in the village following the closure of the Cygnets, Royal Oak and Swan.

The whole thing is quite cosy, having a bar, lounge and a dining room extension. This helps as it is a popular dining venue.
