Former 18th century coaching inn with a single long, split-level bar and stone fireplaces. Taller customers should beware of the low beam above the step half-way along the bar! Theakston Bitter and Black Sheep Best Bitter alternate, leaving the other three taps for guest beers are from the Enterprise-SIBA list. A secluded garden tucked away at the back at the top of the pub yard is very pleasant on a warm summer's day. There is live music and/or 'open mic' on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and quiz night is Wednesday.
