Built in the 1600s as a farmhouse, extended over the years, with a large conservatory, this building houses a highly acclaimed restaurant. Accommodation is also offered. The small bar area is just inside the main entrance, and there are two comfortable dining areas wherein to enjoy seasonal food from local suppliers, including seafood and New Forest game; there is also an extensive wine list. Beer is served from polypins, usually from Ringwood Brewery but sometimes from another local brewery.

Autumn 2023 hours shown; may open everyday in summer.
