Popular village inn, situated close to cycle trails, a preservation railway, RSPB reserve and other major attractions. Built over 200 years ago, it was extended when the Severn and Wye Railway reached the village in 1875. Many items of local historical interest are on display in the pub. A selection of local beers and ciders and an extensive menu of good quality food are on offer. On Sunday lunchtimes the pub also runs a very popular carvery. Four star accommodation (including one room with disabled facilities) is available in the inn itself, while an adjoining bunkhouse caters for groups of 9 - 32. There are also two spaces, with electric hook-up points, allocated for motorhome stop-overs.
