Situated just of the A20 on the London bound side, the Dutch House is an imposing 1930s road house with splendid Flemish architectural features and a spacious car park. Having closed in 2016 and with plans to convert to a fast food venue thwarted, the building was left derelict. Planning permission was then granted in April 2019 for the ground floor to be split into a smaller cafe/bar area and a builders' merchants. Restored and refurbished, the new cafe/bar opened in May 2021 and has a mainly cafe feel during the day and more of a bar in the evening. Has one lager and one keg beer on tap.
