A popular and pleasant country local which has been in the same family ownership since 1995. As a result it is a well and firmly run pub which knows how to look after it's regulars whilst being welcoming and generous to visitors. There's a comfortable public bar, and separate dining and pool rooms. The ceiling used to be adorned with a very large collection of chamber pots. Unfortunately they've now been removed as their decline in old age posed a threat to customers' heads! It was owned at one stage by the Border Brewery of Wrexham.
