Since its sale by Admiral Taverns in 2011, this pub has been transformed. Its new owners are young and enthusiastic and, helpfully for the well being of the pub, they're from local families. The new owners changed the name from the Cross Keys to just The Keys.

The main bar area is large and comfortable with a clean and modern feel. The clientele is of all ages, so it's not surprising that there's every prospect of it becoming a successful community venue. Happy hour pricing (including the real ales) is in place Mon-Fri 2-6pm.

The new function room (built in 2014) impressively blends in already with the rest of the pub. The Keys was owned at one stage by the Border Brewery of Wrexham.
