This ham stone grade II listed coaching inn dates from 1735 and located in a central position. It is a warm and welcoming local and serves great chef cooked food with three real ales on hand-pulls mainly from local breweries. Local clubs such as music and film clubs use the pub as a meeting place. There is a main bar for drinks and a cosy restaurant for table service. There are ten en-suite letting rooms including a family room.
