Re-opened October 2023 under new management after an eight month closure. A rambling food-led pub near the Lightwater Valley theme park, in a much extended old stone building with a bar, several dining areas and a nice garden beside the car park. A choice of five real ales are available, including two house beers from Goose Eye.

Historic Interest

Parts of the pub date back to the 17th Century.
