This pub became a Slug and Lettuce in Autumn 2015 and this description is from its former incarnation as The Waterside....
The majority of the left side of the floor area is taken up by a long bar in front of which is a large "vertical drinking" area. To the right of this is a raised area set out with large tables for dining - there is fixed seating around the walls of this area. On the floor level the area towards the front of the pub either side of the central door is also set out with a variety of tables.
The majority of the external walls to front and right side of bar are glazed with the right side facing the Bridgewater Canal and the front facing onto Waterside Plaza, a public space in front of the adjacent Waterside Arts Centre. To the front of the bar is a large outside seating area, segregated from the plaza by combination of planters and glazed panels.
