Melrose’s only pub, the Ship’s name originates from a previous sea captain owner, and is situated at the old East Port entrance to the town. Majorly refurbished in 2020, it is a characterful pub popular with locals and visitors alike, especially those wanting to watch sport on the seven plasma TVs, one of which is in the Gents! As part of the community feel, the pub has occasional live music, as well as karaoke and quiz nights. Great beer garden!
NOTE: The Real Ale is no longer served from a hand pump but through the "keg" tap at the extreme right of the bank. Ask the staff if in doubt!
