Micropub.

Renovated to a high standard, this micropub has the feel of a traditional 'station' bar and tea shop. An attractively decorated interior, with local railway ephemera, the pub takes nearby Long Eaton railway station's former name. It has up to six gravity-dispensed beers on offer as well as four to eight ciders. A popular local, its proximity to the railway station also makes it handy for commuters. Bar snacks and hot drinks are available throughout the day.

On bank holiday Mondays the pub opens from 12-9.

Historic Interest

This build was originally a 3-floor branch of the Midland Bank. In the 1940s the top floor (a flat) was removed. In the early 1960s it was subject to an armed robbery which was featured on regional television. In the 1970s the exterior walls were rendered and painted (as seen today). Subsequently, the building was used as a sandwich shop, then as an off-licence, before several years disuse until conversion to a micropub.
