Emphasis on food at this large pub on the A6 which has a car park at the rear. There is a small kids play area inside as well as a new outdoor seating/dining area at the rear-see photos. Breakfasts from 8am to 11am Sat, Sun and Bank Holiday Mondays and noon-9pm for carvery meals and other items from the menu each day. Affords great views from the rear of the pub to Winter Hill and the West Pennine Moors as well as the University of Bolton Stadium. Underwent a refurbishment and reopened 12/07/2019. Recently became dog friendly with our four legged friends welcome in the rear area away from the bar where there are seven/eight tables where one can enjoy a drink or dine and also on the outside seating area. Blackrose now have a deal with Theakston's Brewery so their beers may be available
