This thriving pub, across the road from Walmgate Bar, is home to locals, students and beer devotees. A wide and changing range and styles of very reasonably priced ales, including from onsite brewery 3 Non Beards and LocAles are served. Six cask lines, 20 key keg taps and three real ciders cater for all tastes plus a good range of food cooked to order. Along with a Thursday night quiz and other events this was the CAMRA branch Pub of the Year in 2018. Pay a visit and you will see why.
