Busy pub overlooking the sea lock on the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. Very popular in fine weather. Beer prices are reduced £1 a pint between 4pm and 8pm (bank holidays and special events excepted). Breakfasts available from 10am Mon-Fri, 9am Sat and Sun. other food from noon-4pm and 6pm-9pm Mon-Fri, all day Sat-Sun. Children and dogs welcome. Function Room. There is a small car park and free public parking nearby.
