Taken over 15/12/2021 by Seb and Lucy Devlin who also run the Prince of Wales in Cashes Green, plans are in place for a refurb of the pub and a kitchen refit early January 2022. On the survey date the kitchen was closed pending the January refit so no food served.

Formerly three 17th century Cotswold stone cottages, the Crown has been converted into a well appointed pub with a huge octagonal conservatory at the rear which serves as a restaurant & function room.

Approaching the pub from the car park you will find a garden on your right to the rear of the pub with large patio area sporting plenty of bench/table combos. A grassy area abuts this with a rather impressive (for a pub) bark chipped play area sporting swings, climbing frame and slide all linked. To your left you will find another garden area separated from the car park by a flank of trees, again sporting bench/table combos. Abutting the car park on the path to the pubs rear door is the rather large smoking shelter housing a bench/table combo

As you enter the pub you are met with a pretty traditional interior, naked Cotswold stone walls exposed timber beams showing off their aged pedigree. Stone mullioned windows flood the interior with light. Furnishings are lavish in a deep purple upholstery with stained wood. Some of the wooden area dividers have stained glass inset. Walls are adorned with brass and copper Objet d'art.

The area to your left is raised and separated from the main bar. To your right a narrow area faces the long servery. Opposite you there is the front door and outside a small area with a couple of bench/table combos where you can sit and watch the world go by. As you make your way down past the long bar another well appointed area may be found, turning to your right a snug with a couple of sofas offers an opportunity for a small group to gather.

The Maypole Room may be found down a corridor from the snug to the left of the bar or through a door and past the toilets to the right of the bar.

The pub is understandably popular with families.
