A near-perfect traditional pub, fine collection of real ales, friendly dog, real fire. Landlord happy to discuss choice of beers.

This Free house is tucked away just off the A305 Sheen Rd or the Lower Richmond Road via Sheendale Road and railway bridge. Originally built as a coach house back in 1865 as part of the Church Estates. It was refurbished in November 2015. Simply furnished with wood flooring, there is an outside decked area at the front and a patio garden at the back. The pub has a number of leaded stained-glass windows featuring different colourful church mitres. Smart refurbished toilets installed in 2016. The bar now sports 14 hand-pumps serving beers on constant rotation all from small independent brewers outside the M25. Three dedicated to cider/perry. Real cider not always available, expect Lilley's Cider at times. There are also three 'craft' keg lines installed on the bar with beers from the likes of Jaipur IPA, Wiper & True PA and Guinness (at normal temp), plus a lager. Log fire lit during colder months.

Authentic Neapolitan style Pizzas available to eat in or take away Wednesday to Sunday. Toasted sandwich made with fresh pizza dough also available.

A Pilates Studio is located in the Old Coach House building beside the rear patio area - richmondstudiopilates.co.uk

Home to Rudi, was officially the cutest pub dog in Britain in a book published in 2017.
