Large, popular ex Greenall Whitley pub in a prominent position next to the Commons car park. The beer range has been changed in 2021 with changing beers from Wye Valley and Beartown amongst those featured plus a house beer. The pub has a comfortable, open-plan layout, with light wood floors and a huge open fire in the left hand bar. It is popular on market day (Thu). Note: the food comprises sandwiches only, unless pre-ordered with the caterer. The car parking at the front has been converted into a covered wooden outdoor area with tables, and there is a large attractive beer garden at the rear.
