Mettrick's Guildhall is in the new style of café-bars and not a 'pub' by normal definitions, indeed the emphasis is on good quality tea coffee & food. This chain (founded around 2014) is firmly Southampton based and takes its name from the founder's Grandmother. Having opened May 2016, the Guildhall outlet was the third in the chain and originally had a pair of handpumps on the counter, but these were taken out mid October 2017. Some 'RAIB' (real ale in a bottle) may be available but is not guaranteed. Service is order at the counter but then delivered to your table. Spacious inside with a mixture of dining tables and chesterfield sofas to lounge around on.

Upstairs is a mezzanine and since 2021 it has hosted The Attic cocktail bar open from 7pm to Midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

Please note that this is a 'cashless' establishment.
