A welcoming pub in the corner of Stafford's Market Square. A series of rooms and distinct areas ramble around a central bar. It offers a selection of well kept beers alongside a range of gourmet burgers. Music nights include folk and various showcase events, open mic Thursdays, live music Saturdays. There are also comedy nights, usually on the first Monday of the month. See the pub's web site for the menu, details of the beers available and events. The pub was formerly known as the Chains, and for a while Joxer Brady's. There is reputedly a tunnel leading from the pub to the cells of the old County Court nearby.
