Large pub occupying a prominent position in the centre of the old village. Inside there is a lounge, two bars and a dining area. Major refurbishments are now complete, including a kitchen refit and there is a separate new function room with flagstone floor and open fire. Locally sourced produce features on the menu. Beer festivals are occasionally held. At the rear is a small outdoor area with a large 'hidden' garden to the side.

Recorded as a public house in 1855 under publican Mrs E. Bell (Post Office Directory). Asset of Community Value registered 18th January 2016 and nominated by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA. As at November 2017, the freehold for the Manvers Arms (NT347528) was held by Trust Inns Limited [Reg. No. 3011034].
