One of the few remaining old-style Marylebone pubs, small and cosy. First licensed 1842 and rebuilt 1890, the pub now has a traditional interior with red banquette seating, carpet, bar stools, and an etched bar back mirror.

A piano sing-a-long is held every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 8.30 to 11pm; Tony "Fingers" Pearson has played the piano at the pub since 1988. Landlady Gina Vernon and her family celebrated 30 years at the pub in 2021 and the pub has been described as "the heart of Marylebone".

Several times CAMRA's West London branch third-place Pub of the Year, most recently in 2022.

One star - A pub interior of special national historic interest

Listed status: Not listed

A small and cosy pub, one of the few remaining old style Marylebone pubs, that was rebuilt in 1890. It retains a Victorian three bay bar back with good decorative etched mirrors on the left and right and plain mirror panels in the middle. Note the two small baffles on the left and right ends of the bar back, and some lower shelves lost to fridges. The three sided bar counter looks old / original but has been painted deep red as has the dado panelling throughout; fireplace lost and pot shelf is modern. There are three external doors so originally three bars (or two bars and off-sales).
