Historic Interest
A report in the Ipswich Journal*** on 26 Sep in 1856 states that : "Married, on 11th September, 1856, Mr Robert Smith to Mary Ann, only daughter of Mr John OFFORD of the Bell Inn, Cavendish." A report in the Ipswich Journal**** in June 1880 states that : "Mr Wardley of the Bell Inn applied for an extension in time on the occasion of the annual fair to be held on the 11th June, which was granted." A report in the Ipswich Journal**** in Dec 1880 states that : Died on the 18th, George Wordley, aged 39, landlord of the Five Bells Inn.
