Traditional unpretentious local in the centre of the village. There is one open plan carpeted room with low wooden ceiling beams.

Historic Interest

The Cross Keys was registered as an Asset of Community Value on the 29th November 2016 by Gedling Borough Council, after being nominated by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA.

In 1855 the Cross Keys was fully licensed under J. Hogg and in 1876, the publican was John Hogg (Post Office Directory).

The Cross Keys are part of the heraldic device for the Church of England's Province of York, the southern-most part of which is the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham. The Cross Keys is part of a local name cluster with other surviving Cross Keys pubs in Arnold, Epperstone and Nottingham.

As at November 2017, the freehold for the Cross Keys (NT362588) was held by Ei Group plc [Reg. No. 2562808], formerly Enterprise Inns.
