Cosy local, featuring wood-panelled bars, with understated nautical memorabilia including pictures, drawings and plates. Saved from closure in 2012 by a strong local campaign and registered as an Asset of Community Value; the handpumps and beer lines were replaced and the cellar improved. The beer range varies. Log fire. Sports TVs. Much-improved garden, with many new benches and hanging flower baskets on the walls. New toilets. Live music on the first Saturday of the month. Under new management.
