The framed indenture date this inn to 1878, with windows etched with the ancient town seal. It is a genuine free house serving two to four real ales and a local cider. The skittle alley doubles as a function room. No food except bar snacks such as crisps and nuts. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Opening times may vary, please phone to check. Children under 14 are Not allowed as per the licence.
