Food-oriented old canalside inn with restaurant and outdoor dining area overlooking the Union canal. Dating from 1750, the older part contains a separate bar for drinkers and upstairs bedrooms. A newer extension has views over the canal. Most real ales are from smaller Scottish breweries. Families with children are welcome until 8pm and games, a play area and menu are provided. The inn was a focal point during the canal restoration campaign.

NOTE: Alcoholic drinks are served from 11 (11:30 Sun).
