Victorian bar on fringes of town centre. Bare wood flooring throughout. Music most days (see Facebook for programme). Excellent terrace garden, family and dog friendly. Varied selection of interesting real ales from established and micro-breweries, very often local. Happy Hour Thursday 6.30-8.30pm and all ales and ciders discounted on Fridays. Up to nine ciders and Guinness accreditation if real ale does not appeal. Quiz Tuesday, games night Thurs. A real gem.
