A traditional and popular village pub based in a rural community. A number of rooms surround a central bar. Dark wood panelling and brick, with tiled floors, predominate. It serves a varied selection of real ales and a cider. The Lamb & Flag cafe is open 10-4 every Wednesday and there is a Plastic Free Shopping event monthly on Wednesdays, see the facebook page for details. Street Food vans visit the pub regularly. Historic Interest
One of a number of pubs in the area associated with Palmer the Poisoner. He met plumber and glazier George Abley at the Lamb and Flag and challenged him to a drinking contest. Abley accepted, and an hour later was carried home, where he died in bed later that evening.
