Popular compact one bar pub, hidden away near the old city wall. The four beers are often from microbreweries from the South-West or sometimes further afield, and can be of any style. There is a cider is available. Very quirky humour and many varied events define the pub. Quiz on Tuesdays and live music every other Thursday and the first Friday of the month. Look out for the Summer Fete and Christmas Party. A great alternative to the more predictable establishments all around. Quality food served 12-4. The Sunday lunches are so popular they are booked up for years to come. CAMRA discount available. Featured in the BBC's The Trial of Christine Keeler (2019).
