The Fishers is now fully community owned - see https://www.fishersarmshorncliffe.org/

Work to repair and refurbish the pub is underway and ongoing. The community hope to have the pub at least partly open sometime summer 2023.

The pub closed in Oct 2021. A community group (The Fishers Arms Horncliffe Community Pub Limited) was established in Jan 2022 with the aim to raise the funds to purchase the pub (see fishersarmshorncliffe.org). £200,000 was raised in a community share scheme, and the freehold of the pub was purchased in July 2022. Refurbishments required to reopen the pub have now commenced.
