New licensees August 2023. Kitchen closed while work continues.

A large, brick-built pub, erected in the 1930s for Brickwoods Brewery, and refurbished in 2009. The public bar is a venue for live music on most Friday and Saturday evenings. It has several large TV screens and a separate Lounge Bar, unusual in today's market, furnished with tables, chairs, and sofas. It does not at present serve food. Outside is a very large beer garden and children's play area. There is also ample parking and it is also on the number 9 Blue Star bus route. The two ever changing guest ales are normally from local breweries.
