Hotel with a large bar at front.

The hotel is set back from the A3090, behind a line of mature trees, east of Ampfield. The unusual combination of a modern brick building under an enormous thatched roof plus thatched dormers is immediately appealing. The vast modern bar, very comfortably furnished, occupies most of the front of the hotel. Food is available all day, starting with breakfasts at 7am weekdays, though note that alcohol is not served until later, probably 11:30am.
