A major refurbishment was completed in March 2019. A historic 15th Century Devon longhouse, with small flagstone-floored rooms with with low ceilings and wood-burning stoves. Situated in the upper reaches of the Exe Valley, between Bampton and Tiverton, the pub is popular with tourists to Devon and Exmoor.
