Former Greene King two-roomed pub. Chesterfield sofas and an open fire make this a homely setting. Good food, as you would expect, as the landlord is a former chef to the Queen! Three hand pumps always include a local beer.

Asset of Community Value registered 17th February 2015 which expired at the end of the 16th February 2020. The Cross Keys was re-registered on the 21st April 2020 (NSDC ACV 20-0001), which expires at the end of the 20th April 2025.

The Cross Keys is located in Newark & Sherwood District Council's Epperstone Conservation Area.

In 1855 the Cross Keys was fully licensed under J. Wheatley and in 1876 under Edwin Sampson (Post Office Directories).

As at November 2017, the freehold (NT441470) for the Cross Keys was held by Hawthorn Leisure Limited (Reg. No. 8791672).
