Grade II listed little olde world pub, a real haven to escape from the madding crowd. The Anchor is situated in the historic village of Canewdon, gorgeous surrounding countryside so perfect for walks. Excellent food available and has a quiz first wednesday of month. Reportedly haunted from within the eerie atmosphere of The Anchor Inn people have reported to have seen TV remote controls flying across the room, heard mysterious baby cries and smelt unexplained perfume. Kitchen staff working in the pub witnessed knifes travelling across the pub's kitchen. Also look out for the Parrot in the bar.
