Originally a farmstead, first licensed around 1860, with a family-friendly atmosphere in its open-plan lounge and separate vault. Sports fans visiting nearby Boundary Park are welcome at all times (pie and peas available on match days), and sport is screened on TV. The pub runs football, darts and pool teams, plus a quiz night. It also hosts live entertainment on Saturday evening and barbecues on the heated patio in summer - a pub that caters for all the community.
