The Lounge bar of the Castlefield hotel formerly sold cask ale but as of January 2020 it was confirmed handpumps have been removed because of poor sales.

The decor of the bar is what you would expect from a modern hotel - clean, smart but without the atmosphere of a traditional pub. A TV shows news channels with the sound off.

The Castlefield Hotel is attached to the YMCA's Y-Club Gym & Sports hall to which guest have access to facilities. The hotel has 48 en-suite bedrooms & extensive conferencing facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. It is opposite the Museum of Science and Industry.
