Formerly a Lillington Gardens estate pub Grade II listed, this corner house has been transformed by the current operators into a destination real ale pub.

Office workers and tourists from nearby hotels enjoy guest ales on 10 handpumps. There are also about 15 keg beers, including unusual German, Belgian and American craft beers, and a claimed 300+ bottled beers from the UK and around the world.

Special events with visiting brewers are held here. The staff in this pub know their beers and will give you a good recommendation if you need it! Burgers feature on the weekday menu plus a small range of bar snacks; Sunday roasts until late afternoon.

Branch Pub of the Year 2019.

Please note that although there are ten handpumps for cask ale, at quieter times not all may be in use.
