Large open plan bar on the edge of Windsor town centre. Recently refurbished with a tradition breweriana adorned style. Accommodation comprises nine en-suite rooms. There is also a large room at the rear with patio doors opening onto the large garden which can also serve as a function room for hire.

Adnam’s Southwold Bitter and Oakham Citra are the permanent real ales accompanied by 3 rotating guest beers as well as 2 craft keg options. For the traditional cider enthusiasts there’s a great range of at least 9 to choose from all served cool direct from the cellar. The pub is the winner of local CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2023. A great range of Belgian bottled beers is also available for those looking for something a bit different. The trooper has baby changing facilities. Member discounts apply to ale and cider.

The kitchen serves Pieminister pies during the day. In the evenings and Sunday good quality food is provided by independent caterers.
