Family friendly pub on the A6 towards the easterly end of the village. Although the exterior is now painted it was one of the first brick-built properties in the village and gave the name to the adjacent Red House Lane. Offers up to three real ales, some from micros, which are constantly changing and are selected from The Beer Company list. The contemporary interior is open plan and there is a small outdoor patio area to the front. Short walk from Peak Forest Canal (bridge 26).
