Characterful 1800s built pub, in a remote location near the windmill. Well worth seeking out for food. Recently re-opened by the efforts of the local community.

Members of community farm group Ikigai Farm Ltd (a Community Benefit Society) leased the empty village pub in 2021 after mounting a campaign to save it from being lost. The community group then campaigned to purchase the pub, launched a share scheme, and in Feb 2024 paid the deposit and expects to have completed the transaction and all the conveyancing by Thursday, February 29 2024. They also need to raise additional funds to renovate the premises.
