Historic Interest

The great Grandfather, James Wilson, of the current licensee, Brian Deakin, was also licensee of the pub in the early1900's. His daughter, Margaret Ann Wilson met Brian's Grandad, William Deakin as he used to stop at the pub to water Lord Ellesmere's horses.
