The pub closed for refurbishment at the beginning of March 2020 and was then unable to reopen due to the Covid lockdown. It finally reopened on July 4th, 2020, but sadly with no cask ale available, and the handpumps removed.

A large and spacious pub, providing a retreat from the bustle of the High Street, and popular with a wide age-range. There are some enclosed booths for those seeking some privacy.
