At the end of 2017 the Wheatsheaf Inn reverted back into a freehouse, offering B&B. Landlord Dave’s idea of the pub is a no-nonsense, bright & breezy and clean & tidy. The bar area features a marble floor and comfortable seating arranged around wooden tables. Of note is the bar as this was hand built by Dave. There are two TV’s that are turned on for major sporting events. To the rear is a pool table and darts board, and beyond this is a small, south-facing garden with access to the Waitrose car park.

In late 2019 the pub will become the main outlet for beers from Thatcham-based Delphic Brewery with Wheatsheaf Best as a regular beer and the second handpump will sometimes feature a different Delphic beer.
