Landmark roadside hostelry in the centre of Armthorpe. Separate dining area in the conservatory, two bars, spacious frontage with wooden tables outside. Landlord is keen to promote real ale, and offers a discount to card carrying members of CAMRA. Pub of the season 2013 and 2019. Two regular beers and one cider, and food is served Tuesday to Saturday and a popular carvery on Sunday. Disabled access. Dogs welcome in bar. Now sells up to three changing real ales, which often includes Purity Pure UBU or York Guzzler.
