No Real Ale. Large bright lively interior served from a single bar but with some smaller more intimate areas.

Historic Interest

There was an inn on this site possibly dating back to the 16th century. The Ship is shown on this site in Bryant's map of 1831 and the Ship Inn is listed in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850. A former Birkenhead Brewery pub. The old photos shows the pub in the 1880s and around 1900.
