A friendly town local, originally two pubs and now a Listed building. There are separate public and lounge bars and a games room, while the cosy lounge retains its original beams and large open fire. TV's and music sound systems enable different channels to be shown, making the pub particularly popular with sports enthusiasts. Up to five competitively priced ales are usually available. Regular live music sessions, quiz nights and beer festivals are held. No under 18s allowed.
